Member Portal Set Up (How To)

 

Before Set Up

Before setting up the Member Portal, review all available Member Portal Tiles (Reference) options. Then, update key settings to prepare for announcing the shul’s new Member Portal to the congregation.

Learn how to:

✔ Access the Member Portal Settings Screen to update it's visibility and settings.

✔ Create the Member Portal Only Feature, if applicable.

✔ Create redirect from the default ShulCloud homepage template to the Member Portal.

✔ How to create an access link to the Member Portal URL from the shul's informational website. 

Access Member Screen Set Up

1.  Access "My Account" and select "Click here to set up Member Screen" 

Member Section Tile Functionality

 

Member Section Tile Settings	Functionality
1. Member Portal Header	Customize member portal message and it's appearance using the toolbar.
2.  Drag Handle	Drag and drop functionality to move/adjust portal field locations.
3. Section Divider	Use section dividers to create more organized appearance.
4. On | Off | Delete	Determines tile visibility.
5. Edit	Edit member portal tile information.
6. On | Only for Navigation | Off	Determines accessibility of tile.
7. + New Section Divider	Use to add a new section title divider.
8. + New Custom Link	Create tiles for outside URL's or special links.

 

Member Portal Only Feature

To set up the ShulCloud site as a Member Portal only (either temporarily or long term), redirect the default homepage to the Member Portal dashboard. For shuls using ShulCloud's Member Portal Only option, include a Member Portal access link on the informational website.

Create Redirect to Member Portal

 Navigate to Admin > Website Media> CMS Pages 

1. Go to HOME
2. Select Edit

Edit Home Page Type

1. Change the Page Type to Redirect Perm (301 - Perm)
2. Enter or paste Member Portal URL for the shul
3. Select Save

Member Portal Access Link

For ease of portal access for members, add an access link or button on the informational site for the new Member Portal.

1. Navigate to the Member Portal.
2. Highlight and copy the member portal URL in web address bar. For examplehttps://yoururl.shulcloud.com/member.
3. Paste the member portal URL into the informational website.
