Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) is an effective email service built on the reliable and scalable infrastructure of Amazon.com. It has been integrated into ShulCloud.
When we activate SES for you, all your emails from ShulCloud will go through this service automatically. It will also report on spam notifications, send rates, open rates, clicks and much more. There is no additional cost for you to use this service and it is required for all Shuls who send out email in bulk.
To activate SES, please contact ShulCloud Support. You have two options:
1. We provide you with records that need to be updated in your DNS server and you make the updates.
OR
2. You provide username and password for your DNS server and we make the updates for you.
More details at https://aws.amazon.com/ses/faqs/
If this is something your shul hasn't done yet, please email us your login credentials to your DNS host provider. We will then make all necessary changes on our end to get you up and running.
Please be advised, once you're Amazon SES verified, any shul email addresses for your organization will be grandfathered in. Any one off email addresses (adding non shul email addresses) will each need to be verified individually. Whenever you have a new one off email address for email sender, you will need to send an email to questions@shulcloud.com to have each one off email address verified.
To check that the email address is verified, it shows ‘Amazon SES Verified: TRUE’.
