Setting A Password
- Navigate to the Account of the Person the password needs to be set for.
- Either use the top bar search feature for an account or person.
- Either use the top bar search feature for an account or person.
- Once in the account, navigate to the people tab in the Account Features bar.
- Find the person on the account that needs a password change and select Edit.
- Only the main admin on a ShulCloud site has the ability to set a new password for accounts and other admins. If the admin attempting to create or update a password is not the main admin but has the 'Special: Change Password, Login as other Member' permission, they will see the envelope button to send a login link email to the person who will then have access to change their own password.
NOTE: As of early 2025, passwords in ShulCloud now require a minimum of 12 characters.

The only option to update a password as someone other than the main admin is to send the login link to the email in the Login Email field.

- Scroll to the bottom of the person's profile and be sure to save changes.
- Notice of change.
- If the password entered does not meet ShulCloud Security requirements, an error will appear.
- If the password was accepted, the admin will be redirected to the account page.
