There are times an admin will need to move one profile from an account to create a new one, either when children become adults and have their own accounts, or if a family is going through a divorce. This will move the person only - this will NOT move any transactions.
- Navigate to the account that needs to be edited.
- Select the the People tab, and select "edit" next to the person to move from the account.
PLEASE NOTE - The primary adult cannot be moved from the account. - Scroll to the bottom of the page, and select Split/Move from Account.
- The various options for splitting the profile from the account will display.
- Determine if this person should be moved to a brand new account (and enter the new account name here) or choose if they should be moved to an existing account (which you can search for). The person type can also be changed (from child to adult, for example). Finally, when moving someone from the account, relationships to the people on the original account can be added so they can be linked.
- Select Complete Now to save the Move/Split.
