From time to time, you will need to record a member's death. To get started, go to their account, and edit the deceased's profile:
Once you click edit, scroll to the bottom, and there is an option "Mark Deceased:"
When you click "Mark Deceased" you will land on a page to set up the yahrzeit with the relationships already prepopulated. There is also an area to adjust some of the other options related to this person. We strongly suggest you deactivate the deceased on the account so they don't accidently show up in any communication. If they are the only one on the account please make sure you settle the estate before you mark them inactive.
- Change Person Information: You can change the title, person type and account type.
- Seats: If the person is a seat holder, you can either leave the person in the seat, remove the person from the seat but leave the seat attached to the account, or you can remove the person from the seat and remove the seat from the account.
- Tags: You can leave the tags applied to this person, remove them, or move them to the other adult on the account.
If the person who is passing away is the account primary, then they will automatically be moved to secondary, and the secondary will be moved to primary.
When you go back to the account view, you'll see the new account layout:
You will then need to adjust any yahrzeits that the deceased person was an observer on to move them to someone else. Click on the yahrzeits tab - you can either 1) add a new relationship to the surviving member, or 2) edit the relationship to list the surviving member:
