Introduction
ShulStats is a new feature built on the Microsoft Power BI platform that allows you to view and interpret your ShulCloud data through dynamic, interactive visuals. ShulStats currently includes visuals for membership and financial data, but will expand to include other areas of ShulCloud (such as school module, lifecycles, etc.) in future months.
The full ShulStats feature is available to congregations with an Enterprise or Premium subscription, who have purchased a subscription for ShulStats.
Please note: This feature is an additional add-on that will not replace the ShulCloud reports module.
Audience
ShulStats can be used by shul professionals and volunteers who engage with membership and/or financial data.
Specific administrator permissions are required to view the reports:
- ShulStats (BI) - Viewer
- For membership reports: Accounts, People and Accounts, People (read-only)
- For financial reports: Transactions, Reports, Online Payments, Batch Billing and Transactions, Reports, Online Payments, Batch Billing (read-only)
Before You Begin
To access the full ShulStats feature, ensure that your congregation has a ShulStats subscription. In order to view ShulStats, an admin must have specific ShulStats and view and/or edit administrator permissions.
Use Cases
ShulStats will allow you to:
- Track year-over-year data, to discover potential growth opportunities
- See the overall health of your organization, so you know where to focus fundraising efforts and membership recruitment
- Find inconsistencies and errors in your data
Known Limitations
ShulStats is designed to give you a big-picture overview of your data. ShulStats creates reports with similar methodology to the reports in ShulCloud, but they may differ slightly. If your numbers in ShulStats are different than the numbers in your ShulCloud site, please do not be alarmed.
- Data is refreshed every day at 4am Eastern Time, so the data shown in ShulStats will be from the previous day. Any updates you make in ShulCloud will be displayed in ShulStats the following day.
- If you have deleted accounts but have not deleted the people or transactions associated with those accounts, then your People and Charges/Payments numbers may be slightly off. Data that is not associated with an account will not be included in the ShulStats reports.
- The tag and charge type hierarchy is currently limited to two tiers.
- When you navigate to a different report (for example, from Demographics to Membership or Finance) or close ShulStats, all the filters for that specific report will be reset.
