One of the advantages of using ShulCloud is in the way its different parts integrate. A really useful example is that you can program your congregational emails to automatically morph into blog posts.
To make this happen, create a new email. In Step 3 (Options), specify which blog you want to post to.
Note that the default choice in the dropdown menu is Don't Post. You will need to make this selection each time you create an email that you want to end up in your blog.
Wondering how to make this feature useful for your congregation? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Does your rabbi send a weekly message to the congregation? Turn it into a blog without resorting to double-entry.
- Create a chronological and searchable email archive accessible to both members and staff.
- Use special topic emails to create a blog for important themes and events, like the High Holidays or a capital campaign.
