Creating Emails with MailBuilder - Going over how to create a new mailbuilder template, adding images, buttons, grids, and tokens.

Choosing a Template
- Navigate to Communications > Legacy Mail.
- Select Create New Mail.
- Select the appropriate subscriber list and recipients in Steps 1 and 2.
- On Step 3 of an email, select MailBuilder.
- Continue to Step 4, and select Launch MailBuilder. Three starting templates will be displayed: Basic, Banner, and Call To Action. Select one of these or another pre-created template to begin.
- Once a template has been selected, customize the email background and layout with the options at the right. Select Set Theme.
- When hovering the mouse over a section, it can be moved, cloned, or deleted.
Blocks
- To add a block into the content area, simply drag the block until a red line appears. Drop the block.
- If the Schedule list was selected in Step 1, more options of blocks will be available.
- A grid, which will add multiple blocks in a row and allows for easier management of email content for editing.
- When selecting a text box, editing options become available on the righthand side. You will be able to change each option either by dragging the circle , or by entering in a number.
- When editing a section is complete, select Save Changes.
Adding Links
- Add a link with the chain icon in the editor toolbar. When adding a link, either enter a URL, or search use the magnifying glass to link to a specific page.

Tokens
Personalize emails with tokens.
- Select the [TOKEN] option from the editing toolbar:
- Options for tokens include adding each recipient's first name to the email.
- For a special type of email, such as a yahrzeit email, include the date of the yahrzeit, and other yahrzeit information.
- Preview what the token will look like in the completed email.
- Once the token has been added, it will be highlighted in yellow:
- Once the mail is actually sent, the token will populate - in this example, it would populate with the recipient's first name.
Images Within Text Blocks
- Add an image to a text block with the option in the editing toolbar.
- Select the image tool.
- Add the image, and either choose the automatic width, or set the width to a certain number of pixels.
- Select OK.
- Highlight the image, and click on the Link icon. The link text won't be required.
Image Blocks
When an image block is dragged into an email, editing options appear on the righthand side. If the Link option is turned on, either enter in a URL, or use the magnifying glass to direct to a specific page.
At any point, reset the email, save the email as a template, or preview the email.
- Reset: Revert the email back to the original template.
- Template: Save the email as a template.
- Preview: Preview the email with either desktop or mobile view.
