| A voluntary fee | (Additional) Donation | When the Fee mode is set for Ask the Payer this fee is considered a donation. A donation fee is a charge imposed by the congregation or service provider to cover the cost of providing a convenient payment option for their donors. This fee is typically associated with alternative payment methods or services that offer added convenience but may incur additional expenses for the congregation. The transaction fee is separate from the actual cost of the product or service and is applied as a supplementary donation charge. Because this is a voluntary fee the donors have the option to decide if they would like to cover such fees. |

A surcharge fee on credit card purchases is an additional charge imposed by the congregation when customers choose to pay for goods or services using a credit card. This fee is intended to offset the processing costs associated with credit card transactions, which congregations incur when they accept credit card payments. Surcharges are different from convenience fees, which are generally associated with providing alternative or expedited payment methods. |
