Account Billing Types are only visible to the administrators of the system and not to regular members. This piece of information can be used to flag which accounts may need financial help or to show which accounts are in good standing, Large Donors or Recently Married Accounts that may offer a discount.
Account Billing Types can also be used to filter accounts.
Adding a New Account Billing Type
- Navigate to Admin > My Lists in the sidebar navigation.
- The My Lists dropdown is in alphabetical order and begins with Account Billing Types.
- Select Add New:
- Type in the Name of the New Account Billing Type. Examples of Account Billing Types are shown in the example above.
- Once a name has been entered, a Batch Bill Amount can also be provided.
The Batch Bill Amount allows the predefinition of a certain monetary amount for when creating batch bills in the system. For example: If you enter in $1,000 in the Batch Bill Amount for In Good Standing, when you create a batch bill for only people with an Account Billing Type of In Good Standing, it will know to use $1,000 as the charge amount.
