Account billing types are only visible to the administrators of the system and not to regular members. This piece of information can be used to flag which accounts may need financial help or to show which accounts are in good standing, Large Donors or Recently Married Accounts that may offer a discount. With this information you can then filter accounts to create your own reports.
To add a new Account billing type you will want to do the following:
Go to My Lists from the Admin Menu located at the top of your site. Once you are there you will see a drop down list that already Says Account billing types.
By default you will see In Good Standing and Not in Good Standing. Click Add New to see the following:
Type in the Name of the New Account Billing Type you wish to Create. As you can see from the screen shot above we have created other categories that may be suitable for you. Once you have created a name, you can also enter in a Batch Bill Amount. The Batch Bill Amount allows you to predefine a certain monetary amount for when you create batch bills in the system. For example: If you enter in $1,000 in the Batch Bill Amount for In Good Standing, when you create a batch bill for only people with an Account Billing Type of In Good Standing, it will know to use $1,000 as the charge amount.
