Question | Can I add a PDF to my content? |
Answer | No. |
Question | Can I attach a PDF without a URL? |
Answer | Yes. Adding a URL is an option but not a requirement. |
Question | If I am copy/pasting a large MS word file, will the text box resize? |
Answer | Yes. |
Question | Is it possible to save color palettes? |
Answer | Not at this time. ShulCloud recommends having hexcodes saved as references. |
Question | Is it possible to have a vertical spacer? |
Answer | ShulCloud recommends using padding for vertical space. |
Question | When you send a test email, will the merge fields still choose a random person from the recipient list or will it chose the person you are sending the test to? |
Answer | A random recipient will still be chosen for merge field tests. |
Functionality
Question | Is there a way to change how the unsubscribe section at the bottom looks? |

Question | If someone has unsubscribed previously, will they need to unsubscribe again? |
Answer | No. |
Question | Can you clone a previous email to edit it? |
Answer | Yes, in the Email Marketing Feature this is called Duplicate. |
Question | Can we do Yahrzeit letters? |
Answer | Not yet. The Email Marketing Feature is specifically built for email marketing efforts. We will be increasing its functionality to other uses in the future. |
Question | Is this ready to use for dedications yet? |

Question | Why do some of our subscriber lists not appear in the dropdown choices for Recipients? |
Answer | The Email Marketing Feature is intended only for email marketing efforts at the moment. Therefore, the only subscriber lists that will populate are the Annoucements list and any custom subscriber lists that have been uploaded. |
Question | Can emails be sent based on a registration list? |
Answer | Not Yet. The Email Marketing Feature is specifically built for email marketing efforts. We will be increasing its functionality to other uses in the future. |
Question | What is the process for people to subscribe or unsubscribe? |
Answer | When an email is sent, there will be an unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. People can also manage their subscriptions in the Member Portal under "My Subscriptions". Subscriber List Help Center Article |

Question | Is there anyway to integrate schedules/calendar? |

Groups
Question | Are you able to create groups based on tags? |

Question | Can we use tags that have already been established or do we need to tag people/create tags again? |
Answer | Tags must be created in My Lists before you can use them in Groups. Your existing tags will work and do not need to be recreated. |
Question | When you create a group with conditions, is it static? Or does it run each time you use it? |
Answer | Groups are dynamic, meaning that the criteria will be reviewed and any accounts/people that meet the criteria of the group at the time the email is sent will be included. If an account/person no longer meets the criteria at the time the email is sent, they will not receive the email. Groups Help Center Article |
Question | Why do we need groups in addition to lists in order to set definitions/conditions? |
Answer | Groups allow recipients in Subscriber Lists to be segmented. In the Recipients section, a group can be included or not included in who receives the email. Recipients Help Center Article |
Question | What is a condition versus a condition block? |
Answer | A condition is criteria that must be met. A condition block will take into consideration the first block of conditions and then the second block of conditions. Many times, conditions will be sufficient. |
Question | Can you create a group or send to a group excluding subscribers who have received a specific previous email? |
Answer | Not at this time, however, it is a feature we are planning to add in the future. |
Question | Are you no longer able to send an email to one individual or remove one individual from your recipient list? |
Answer | This is not an option at the moment, however, it is a feature we are planning to add in the future. |

Question | How can we use an existing ShulCloud Mailing List? |
Answer | The only subscriber list that is available for use in the Email Marketing Feature right now is Announcements as it is intended for email marketing efforts. |
Question | What are communication tags? |
Answer | Also known as Mail Tags. These must be created in My Lists before they are able to be used in the Email Marketing Feature or Legacy Mail System. Statistics

Templates
Question | Can we get templates from the Legacy Mail system into the Email Marketing Feature? |
