This checklist helps you review key settings and configurations before officially going live in Shulcloud. Completing these steps ensures your data, payments, communications, and member experience are fully ready from day one.

Before You Begin this Checklist
Please confirm the following:
☐ Final data import has been completed
☐ Imported records have been reviewed for accuracy
☐ Onboarding specialist confirmed readiness for final review
☐ Legacy system set to read-only (if applicable)
If any of the above is incomplete, please contact your onboarding specialist before proceeding.
Admin Settings Review
Navigate to: Admin → Settings → Edit Settings
Lifecycles
☐ Review lifecycle categories and where they can be displayed along with who has access to see them.
Why this matters: Lifecycles affect reporting and member categorization.
Member Directory Settings
☐ Review visibility settings
☐ Confirm privacy preferences
Why this matters: Ensures proper member data privacy.
Payment Gateway Settings
☐ Merchant account approved
☐ Credit card processing tested
☐ ACH processing tested
☐ Bank account details verified
Important: Some settings only appear after merchant approval.
Why this matters: Ensures members can successfully submit payments.
My Lists Review
Navigate to: Admin → My Lists
Account Types/Payment Types/Charge Types
☐ Account Types reviewed
☐ Payment Types confirmed
☐ Charge Type confirmed (review tax deductibility & if it should be in the donation drop down)
Email Senders
☐ Sender names confirmed & SES Verified
☐ Test emails sent
Templates
☐ Field templates reviewed
☐ Statement templates reviewed
☐ Email templates reviewed
Payment Gateways
☐ Active gateways confirmed
☐ Test gateways removed (if applicable)
Workflow Testing
Before going live, test the following:
☐ Create a new member
☐ Add a transaction
☐ Make an online donation
☐ Generate an invoice
☐ Generate an outstanding statement
☐ Run a basic report
Why this matters: Testing prevents avoidable launch-day issues.
Internal Readiness
☐ Staff training completed
☐ Admin permissions confirmed
☐ Support point person assigned
Final Go-Live Approval
☐ All required settings reviewed
☐ Payment gateway active
☐ Email sending verified
☐ Staff trained
☐ Onboarding specialist approval received
Once all items are complete, you are ready to go live!
