Overview
Field templates are constructed of merge fields that represent specific database fields and appear in outputs such as emails, letters, labels, and statements. These merge fields pull data directly from account records. ShulCloud defaults to Primary assigned to the head of household, and Secondary to a spouse or partner.
Relying on field templates—rather than account-level overrides—helps maintain accuracy when family details change.
- For example:
[primary_first_name]merge field is replaced with the person’s first name wherever the [primary_first_name] field is used.
