New Email Verification Step for Online Payments
ShulCloud has introduced an important update to the online payment process to better protect donor information and ensure a smooth, secure experience.
Why This Change?
Automated bots and malicious scripts have become increasingly sophisticated — capable of mimicking real users and attempting fake transactions. These attacks can disrupt payments, cause errors, or even put personal data at risk.
To stay ahead of these threats, ShulCloud has introduced a new email-based verification step for anyone who isn’t logged into their account. This added layer of security helps ensure that every payment comes from a real person — not a bot or automated system — protecting both your information and the integrity of our payment platform.
What to Expect When Making an Online Payment (While Not Logged In)
If you’re not signed in when making a payment:
Complete the payment details and click Submit Payment.
You’ll be taken to a verification screen.
A 6-digit verification code will be sent to the email address you entered during checkout.
Enter the code and click Verify Code.
Once verified, your payment will be processed as usual and you’ll receive your confirmation email.
