The first step in setting up your website is to choose a template. To view Shulcloud's templates, go to Admin Menu > Settings > Change Template. Click on any template, then scroll to the bottom of the page and choose either Save (if you're ready to get started) or Preview (if you just want to see what your site might look like). Note that even if you click Save, you can change your template at any time.
The most popular templates (as of the date this article was published) are currently Carousel (versions 1 and 2), Contrast, and Mosaic. Here are a few examples of how they're being used:
Carousel 1
Carousel 2
Contrast
Mosaic
- Congregation Habonim
- Congregation Ner Tamid
- Beth Am Israel
- Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock
In these sites, you may notice how some vary quite a bit from the original look of the template. While some ShulCloud customers have extensive CSS coding knowledge, others have simply used the features of ShulCloud's templates and content sections (blocks) to their full potential. Please note that ShulCloud no longer provides custom CSS work services. Regardless of your level of expertise, once you choose one of our website templates, you can use it as a foundation to create a simple-yet-effective website that's quickly ready to go live - or add your own special touches for a site that's more uniquely yours. We encourage you to read the CMS (website) articles in ShulCloud's Help Center to learn more about how you can add and edit your content to create an engaging website.
