The Navigation option on your site is where you can add links to the top menu (or side menu, depending on your template). Any page on your site can be added to the Navigation.
**You must create your page first. To create a new page, you can go to Admin Menu - CMS, or follow the steps in this help document.**
To get started, go to Admin Menu - Navigation, and you'll see the layout in our new Admin Dashboard, where you can choose which navigation menu you want to edit:
- Main Navigation - The main menu that anyone will see at the top of your site (some older templates have their navigation menus on the left).
- Top Links - These are extra links that will be located at the top of the site (not all templates).
- Mobile Navigation - Set a different navigation menu for mobile devices.
There is an option to set the Mobile Navigation to mirror the Main Navigation as well. - Mobile Bottom Navigation - These links can be found at the very bottom of the mobile view (not all templates).
Once you select the menu you want to edit, you'll see a listing of all of your current Navigation options:
The left-most options will appear as their own headers in the Navigation. You can set up pages to show underneath each header, so if someone hovers over that option on the main page, all the subpages will show as well. You can use the minus to collapse the menu, or the plus to expand.
To add a new option, click the "Add Top-Level Nav Item" button on top to make a new header, or click the plus sign next to any existing page to make an option next to it. You can also drag and drop your pages to move them where you want them to go.
When you add a new page, click the grey pencil icon to edit and select where you want the page to go:
- Member Sections - All of the pages that are available on the Member page (yourdomain/member). People who are NOT logged in will NOT see these pages.
- Blogs - Will show all the blog pages that have been created in the system
- Campaign - Provides a list of all the campaigns currently in the system and will allow users to directly access the campaign if it is located on the menu.
- Past/Upcoming Events - Provides a list of all the events currently in the system and allows users to directly access the event if located on one of the menus.
- Forms - A list of all the forms that are available, and allows you to link to them like events.
- Pages - All pages that have been created on the site will be populated here.
- Photo Gallery - Will list all of the Photo Albums located on the system.
- Redirects - Special CMS pages that will automatically redirect someone to another page, either within ShulCloud or on another site.
- Special - These pages are predetermined and are created with every ShulCloud site.
When you choose an option, the name of the page will populate in the "Title" field. You can chance the name to read whatever you'd like.
Once you have entered the pages you want, you can click "Save" to update this section only. If editing the Main Navigation, you will also have a choice "Save and Copy to Mobile" so the changes are saved on both your desktop and mobile sites.
If you want to change where page goes, you can always click the grey button to edit again, and choose a new destination for your link. You can also rename pages or move them around to edit the navigation.
