Blog in ShulCloud (How To)

ShulCloud features a built-in blogging tool that automatically displays posts in chronological order. To learn more about different Page Type options available in ShulCloud please review Adding a New Page.

To start using the blog feature, navigate to Website/Media > Pages > Add New Page.

Create Blog

Action	Description
1-2. Blog Title & Customize URL	Add blog title. URL for the blog can be customized, if needed. If the URL field is left blank, the system will automatically assign a URL based on the blog name. For example, a blog called “Religious School Blog” will have the default address: https://siteurl.org/religious-school-blog.html
3. Page Type	Select Blog/News
4. Blog Settings	Number of Posts per Page: Sets how many posts are shown before continuing onto additional pages. Automatically Make Short Posts Yes – shows a preview of each post with a link to read the full article. No – shows the entire post directly on the blog page. Show Blog Dates Yes – displays the date and time each post was published. No – hides the date and time.

Edit Blog Content & Add New Page

To edit blog content, Navigate to Website/Media>Pages

1. Select:
   • Edit: to edit the page options for the blog.
   • View & Edit Page: to edit existing blog content.
   • Clone: Duplicate the blog
2. Select New Page to start a new blog page.

Action	Description
1. Start Editing | Pause Editing	Navigate to Website/Media>Pages>Add New or select blog to edit from the CMS Pages list.
2. Blog Title	Add/Edit Blog Title
3. Author, Date & Summary	Add Author name Select Date & Time Choose to automatically create a summary.
4. Blog Content & Toolbar Editor	Add blog content. Customize and design using the Toolbar Editor.
5. Section Update	Mark as Sticky - to pin post to top of blog Delete Section  Discard Changes Save Section
6. Add Post	Add a new blog post.
