**If currently on onboarding, and importing from your legacy database – you will want to make the updates for going live, AFTER you’ve completed your final import.
MEMBER PORTAL Go To: Admin menu>Settings>Member Sections
- If opting for using your site as a member portal only – either temporary or long term, you will need to redirect your home page to https://yoururl.shulcloud.com/ to https://yoururl.shulcloud.com/member - Admin Menu>CMS Pages – HOME – ‘Edit’. Page Type switch to ‘redirect perm’ and add your /member URL. Save.
- Reviewed Member Portal Options – Go to you ‘My Account’ then go to ‘click here to set up Member Screen’ button - Member Portal Recorded Training
- Added New Links to Member Portal (if applicable)
- Added Member Portal Section Dividers (if applicable)
- Update member portal tile icons (if applicable) – if uploading icons, ensure that icon images are square in dimension
- Copied & customized the Announcing Your New Website verbiage in preparation for sending out the email to announce your new site and/or member portal.
- Downloaded the Member Portal Power Point Presentation Template & customize for your shul. Once customized, you have saved as a PDF, and added a link for it in your ‘Announcing Your Site’ Email announcement to your members.
Helpful Tip! If you currently have a front-end website, you can add the URL link for your member portal: yoururl.shulcloud.com/member
SETTINGS Go To: Admin menu>Settings>Edit Settings (please review ALL Shul Settings. Listed below are the most commonly updated settings)
- Shul Email Address: Set email address for section Shul Locations & Details
- Billing Email Address: Set email address for Billing: Admin Menu>Settings>Edit Settings – Other Financial Options
- Member Directory (if applicable)– Admin Menu>Settings>Edit Settings> Member Directory
- Fiscal Year – Admin Menu>Settings> Other Financial Options
- Payments & Donations – Payments and Donations
- Lifecycles: Lifecycle Setting Options
- Zman & Religious Options: Zman & Religious Options Settings
- Senior Admins – You will want to review in detail the full list of the available settings on your site, please review: Configuring Your Shul Settings
MY LISTS Go To: Admin menu>My Lists
- Account Types: Please check the Is Member Category For Membership Reporting on the Account Types level in order to be able to use Membership Reporting
- Donation Charge Types: Ensure the charge types for donations you wish to be displayed on the donation dropdown for online payments have been selected - Admin Menu>My Lists – Charge Types – go to ‘Online Payments’ and check the box to ‘Display on Donation Dropdown’. ‘How to edit charge types’ documentation
- Payment Gateway(s): Ensure that your payment gateway is set up Admin Menu>My
Lists>Gateways - IF NOT, and you need the payment gateway set up, please fill out the Merchant Application. Located in the first column of the Admin Menu. ‘Setting up your payment gateway’ documentation - Payment Gateway Fees Set Up: Ensure that the fees for the gateway have been determined and
set up – ensure that if you have charge types that override the gateway fee, that those have also
been updated - Email Senders/Amazon SES Verified: Ensure your email senders are Amazon SES verified: Admin
Menu>My Lists>Email Senders – Click on the sender email address>check to ensure on the right, the email address has ‘Amazon SES Verified: TRUE’ - Familiarize yourself with the locations of different templates within the My Lists:

• Word Templates - Field Templates: Naming Conventions: For use with mail/email tokens (i.e. Mr. & Mrs. Smith,

‘statement’ template naming convention, then paste for other incorrect naming conventions.
You do not need to copy the <title> tags unless you need the formal naming convention - Heads Up: If you haven’t selected the charge types for the donation dropdown menu, you will
receive an error when you go to your Online Payment page that states that no donation charge
types have been selected: https://yoururl.shulcloud.com/payment.php - *ONBOARDING CLIENTS (If applicable) – after your final import, your legacy database should now be READ Only.
