Student/Parent Dashboard Overview
Short Videos are available for ShulCloud Clients via ShulSchool
- Login to your ShulCloud account as an Admin.
(anyone you want to have access to ShulSchool needs to have at least one admin permission) - Select the "?" in the menu bar.
- Click on ShulSchool.
Student and Parent Communication
Once a student's first and last name and their parent information is added to Mitzvah Tools by the Product Manager, the parent will receive an email to create their own password and then provide consent for their student the be added to Mitzvah Tools.
Upon selecting the link in the email, you will be asked to create a password for your account and provide consent for your child(ren)
Once consent has been provided, the dashboard for the parent will indicate Done and the parent will receive an email confirmation of the Consent.

A third email will then be sent to you, the parent, confirming that your student has been registered in Mitzvah Tools and will provide you with your student's Username. The link in the email will allow you to create a password for your student so they can access Mitzvah Tools.
Why is Parent Consent for a Child's Profile Required?
New COPPA-Compliant Student Requirements
Note: This new process applies only to newly created student accounts.
Existing student accounts created before this update are not affected.
Mitzvah Tools has been updated to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which requires parental consent before children under 13 can have an online account.
Parent/Student Dashboard
You can select the name of a child to be taken to the Parent Dashboard. The student dashboard is identical, with the exception of Service Details. Only parents of a student will see service details.

Student Details
You can change the password and manage notifications regarding tasks and team messages. View your student's information entered into Mitzvah Tools. If any changes to information need to be made, please contact a member of your student's team.
Student's Service Details
Provide details regarding honors for your student's B'nai Mitzvah. Assign family members or friends with an honor by selecting Edit on the honor chosen and completing the required information.
Once Edit has been selected for an item, the details screen will open. Select +Add Service Detail to see fields to input an English Name, a Hebrew Name, and to add comments. Select +Add Service Detail again for each person that is helping with that honor. Select Update Service Detail when the changes are complete.
Student's Tasks
View all tasks assigned to your student in a list format.
Select the name of a task to view the details and access the associated resource.
Student's Team Message
Communicate with all members of your student's team via team messages. You have options to add a comment, add a file for the team to access, link to an existing resource, or link to a video by pasting a URL. Select Submit Comment to send your message.
Student's Appointments
View and access upcoming appointments.
Student's Team
Select a member of your student's team to see their details and request an appointment
Resources
Access and download documents and multimedia assigned to your child in their tasks.
