The Audit Log allows you to view changes made to any section of the site over time. The log will track changes made by both admins to the site, and users to their own accounts.
You can access the log in two places. If you are looking for information about one specific account, you can go to that account and click the "Audit Logs" tab. You can also go to Admin Menu - Audit Logs:
- Logs For: Each section of the site is broken down in to a different category. The default you will see is "Families & People." To view a different area, just select from the drop down, and the site will automatically go to that area.
- Person Editing: The person who made the change. If you want to track all changes made by one person, you can enter and select their name here.
- Person/Account Edited (for only some of the sections): Will show the name of the person or account who was changed.
- Subsection: This will automatically change based on the main section you are searching. Allows you to narrow your search even more. For example, in the Families & People logs, the subsections you can search are Permissions, Tags, Address, Notes, and more.
- Editor Type: If the changes were made by an admin or a non-admin.
- Type of Action: Lets you search for changes to data, data that was added or data that was deleted.
- Summary: Each action has a quick summary, and you can now search for those keywords.
- Date: By default, the log will show you data for today and yesterday. You can click the arrows to move forward or backwards a day, or enter the date range you want to search for.
