Payment types work as another searchable filter in the system. When setting up gateways, users can specify what the payment type is going to be. Users can create any payment types that may be needed for the system.
To create a new payment type:
- Navigate to Admin > My Lists > Payment Types
- Select Add New to create a new payment type
- Determine the name of the new payment type
- Specify whether or not this payment type is going to be the default for payments coming in.
- Indicate the payment type should be included on tax statements. If this is not checked off, it will not show.
- Check the box for a non-monetary payment type such as donations in-kind or shares of stock.
- Select Create New to save.
Once Quickbooks and ShulCloud are integrated, payment types can be linked to a Quickbooks account from the drop down provided.
