Stripe Invoicing for Monthly Shulcloud Subscriptions

    Introduction

    Shulcloud subscriptions transitioned to Stripe Invoicing in January 2025. Monthly subscriptions and invoicing for Shulcloud are only visible for admins with the permission, Special: Administer Shulcloud Billing. 

    Shulcloud implemented this change without requiring action from clients.

    Stripe invoice history is visible and accessible from this portal moving forward. Old invoices and receipts must still be requested from the support team by emailing questions@shulcloud.com.  

    Our Shulcloud Account

    Shulcloud subscription information can be viewed and updated by navigating to your name in the top bar on the right, and selecting Our ShulCloud Account. This menu item is only available to admins with the permission, Special: Administer ShulCloud Billing.

    Field Description
    1. Open Billing Portal Link to Stripe to view and update payment and subscription information.
    2. Purchase SMS Credits Link to purchase additional credits for SMS (Text) credits.
    3. Site ID Unique ID to identify a Shulcloud client.

    Selecting this link directs clients to billing.stripe.com and automatically directs the client to the shul's information within stripe.

    Payment methods and billing information page

    Field Description
    1. Shul Name Name of the Shul.
    2. Return to ShulCloud, LLC Link to return to Our ShulCloud Account within Shulcloud.
    3. Payment Methods All payment methods added to a Shulcloud site will be listed in this area.
    4. ...

    Select to choose to make a different payment method the default or delete a payment method.

    5. + Add payment method Select to add a new payment method. (more information below)
    6. Billing Information Displays the name and provided information of the person associated with the Shulcloud Subscription Billing.
    7. Update Information Select to update billing information.
    8. Invoice History Stripe invoice history will be visible and accessible from this portal moving forward. Old invoices and receipts must still be requested from the support team by emailing questions@shulcloud.com.  

     

    Payment Methods

    Select between Card, Google Pay, Pre-Authorized Debit (Canada only), and US Bank Account.

    Card

    Field Description
    1. Card Details

    Enter details of the card:

    • Card number
    • Expiration date
    • Security code
    • Country
    • ZIP code
    2. Use as default payment method Select checkbox to indicate default payment method. Default can be changed on main page as well.
    3. Add Select to add payment method to Stripe account.
    4. Go back Return to main Stripe screen.

     

    Google Pay

    Google Pay selected for payment.

     

    Field Description
    3. Add

    Select to add payment method to Stripe account.

    Select an existing payment method from Google Pay or add a new credit/debit card.

    Once a card has been selected or added, select Pay to save the payment method.

    4. Go back Return to main Stripe screen.

     

    Pre-authorized Debit (CAN Only)

    Field Description
    1. Full Name Full name of the contact.
    2. Email Contact email address.
    3. Add

    Select "Agree" to find banking institution.

    Once the terms have been agreed to, select bank account.

    Once a bank account is selected, use online banking credentials to login.

    Once logged into the banking institution, select an account to be linked.
    4. Go back Return to main Stripe screen.

    Field Description
    1. Email Email address associated with billing contact.
    2. Full Name Full name of billing contact.
    3. Search for your Bank If not listed in the options below, search for the name of the bank to link as a payment method.
    4. Bank Options Six (6) common bank names will be listed. If one is the bank to link as a payment method, select it to login. If not listed, use the search bar above to find it.
    5. Add

    Once a banking institution has been selected, click "Agree and Continue" to login and connect an account.

    6. Go Back Return to main Stripe screen.

     

    Update Billing Information

    1. Name Full name of billing contact.
    2. Email Email address of billing contact.
    3. Address Complete address information of billing contact.
    4. Phone number Phone number of billing contact.
    5. Save Save billing contact details.
    6. Cancel Cancel and return to Stripe main screen.

    • Total amount paid
    • Payment date
    • Options to download the invoice and/or receipt
    4. Additional Details

    Details include:

    • Receipt number
    • Invoice number
    • Payment method used

    Specifics include:

    • Shulcloud subscription and cost

    • Total paid
    6. Manage subscription Link to billing.stripe.com, logged in to specific client portal.
