During these unprecedented times, we at ShulCloud know that you have had to adjust and change the way your shul functions. In our continued efforts to help our shuls adjust to working from home we wanted to provide more tips on how to use ShulCloud while working remotely.
Website Updates
- Many of our shuls have added a message at the top of their website and we have added a new article in our help section to address this change to your site. To find out how to add a message with the html code included click here.
- While we cannot gather together, many of our shuls have turned to streaming via Facebook, YouTube, StreamSpot or other services. Click here for a quick article on how to embed a YouTube video on your website (similar procedures would be followed for other streaming services).
- With Passover just around the corner, there is still Chametz to sell, even if we may all still be home this year. ShulCloud allows shuls to create and use a Shared Form so that you do not have to re-create everything from scratch. To access a shared form under the Admin Menu: Click on Forms. Then click on Create New From A Shared Form. Once in the Shared Forms library, you can do a quick search for keywords such as “Chametz” or “Passover.” Finally, once you find a shared form that works for you then just click “Create Form From This” and you can customize it for your own purposes.
Using Other Modules in ShulCloud
- One of our most frequently asked questions during the last few weeks has been related to moving from sending out paper mail letters to emails for yahrzeit reminders. Here is a step by step article that will walk you through the process of converting your letters to emails.
- While your office may be closed, we understand that the business of your shul must go on and for many shuls that means syncing ShulCloud to QuickBooks. First, you must have the QuickBooks sync tool downloaded onto the computer that you are using. To sync with QuickBooks you can download the sync tool here. For those who are using a desktop version of QuickBooks you would need to access the computer that has QuickBooks installed. If you need to remotely access your computer, follow these instructions.
- This situation has left our most vulnerable populations isolated so our shuls have turned to using the CRM module to make sure that you are able to keep in touch with those in need of connection. You can schedule follow ups, assign other admins to tasks and leave notes so nothing falls between the cracks. To learn more about our CRM module click here.
